Not only do our products and services help to generate carbon-free energy, but we also develop our activities and processes under the commitment to reduce energy consumption, promote the use of renewable energies and move towards a low-carbon energy model, which is manifested in the calculation and registration of the carbon footprint with the Ministry of Ecological Transition with the aim of reducing it each year.
Our plant is located in an environment of great natural value in the south of Santander Bay, in the estuary of the Ría del Carmen, in an area classified as an Important Bird Conservation Area (IBA). South of our facilities are the Marismas Blancas, catalogued as an ornithological reserve by SEO/BirdLife. Therefore, our commitment to the environment is even greater and constant.
We have our own experts and an environmental management system based on the ISO 14001:2015 standard and on strict compliance with local, national and European environmental legislation and regulations. We also promote knowledge about the environment, stimulating the environmental awareness of all our staff through training and motivating the performance of our activities in an environmentally responsible manner.
