The main function of the Automation unit of the Advanced Technology Centre is the implementation of special developments and applications of robotization and automation of manufacturing processes such as welding, control and inspection and assembly. These developments contribute significantly to the maintenance of the company’s high standards of quality, technology, reliability, deadlines, safety and competitiveness and to the fulfilment of the strict technical requirements established by our customers for the manufacture of their equipment.

The Automation unit, with more than forty years of successful experience, has highly qualified personnel in the fields of robotics, automation, extensometry, instrumentation and mechanical design and is composed of a large team of development and mechanical design engineers and mechatronics technicians.

Ensa’s projects count on the continuous collaboration of the Robotics unit, which also provides its services externally, mainly in the nuclear field and in other areas with high technological value applications.

The work areas are:

Robotization of activities such as welding, cleaning, taking measurements and data.

Process automation.

Data acquisition in special areas: profilometry, vision and alignment.

Electric servo systems and pneumatics.

Manufacture of customised mechanical designs.
Extensometry, manufacturing of “ad-hoc” sensors.
General instrumentation, special sensors.
Development of RDI projects individually or in collaboration with institutions, laboratories and universities
Process improvement.
