GENERAL & BOARD SECRETARY & SUSTAINABILITY
Degree in Law from the University of Valladolid and the School of Legal Practice, and Master’s degree in Trade and Consumer Law from the University of Cantabria. She also completed doctoral studies in Criminal and Administrative Law at the Department of Public Law of the University of Cantabria.
She joined the Corps of Legal Advisors of the Government of Cantabria through a competitive civil service examination in 1995 and held various legal advisory positions until 2008, when she was appointed Head of the Social Services Inspection Service. In 2015 she was appointed Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of the Government of Cantabria, a position she held until 2019. During this period, she served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Regional Company for Education, Culture and Sport (SRECD) and as Chair of the Barquín Hermoso Foundation.
In 2019 she was appointed Secretary General of the Ministry of Health of the Government of Cantabria, a role she performed until 2021, also serving as Chair of the Healthcare Sectoral Committee. During this time, she was a member of the Board of Directors of Hospital Virtual Marqués de Valdecilla and of the Boards of Trustees of the Marqués de Valdecilla Foundation and the Marqués de Valdecilla Research Institute (IDIVAL).
In 2021 she returned to her position as Legal Advisor at the Directorate-General of Legal Services of the Government of Cantabria. In 2023 she was appointed Chair of the Consumer Arbitration Board, a role she held concurrently with her legal advisory duties until joining SME Equipos Nucleares, S.A.
