Graduate in Law from the University of Salamanca

He has been the Special Delegate in Spain to the Santander Free Trade Zone Consortium, a position he held since 2020. Between 2017 and 2019, he was the Counsellor of Education, Culture, and Sports for the Government of Cantabria, when he served on the Board of Directors of the Cantabria Regional Development Society (SODERCAN) and chaired the Board of Directors of the Regional Society for Education, Culture, and Sports. Previously, he served as spokesperson for the Economy and Finance, Education, Presidency and Justice, and Public Works and Housing committees in the Parliament of Cantabria, where he was a member from 2007 to 2015.
