The three companies have decided to join their efforts to provide integrated solutions for the fuel management market through the restructuralization of the A.I.E. (in Spanish Agrupación de Interés Económico) that from now on will be referred as ENUSA-ENSA A.I.E.
In this way, the scope of its services will be extended to cover different activities, such as, the handling of irradiated and fresh fuel, the inspection for fuel leak detection, characterization, classification and repairing irradiated fuel elements. Also the loading and handling of used fuel containers, the supply of engineering services related with designing and product licensing for the dry storage of used fuel.
In addition, this partnership will provide a series of measures that will provide solution to a growing demand on the management of used nuclear fuel in Spain, Europe and the rest of the world. Thus will allow to enhance its capacity to meet the specific requirements of operators and regulators in such a demanding sector, such as the nuclear.
