Maliaño, April the 5th 2019. – Equipos Nucleares S.A. SME (Ensa) received the visit of a group of students of the course on Robotics and Innovation in the Nuclear Sector organized by the Higher School and Technician of Mining Engineers of the University of León and the Foro Nuclear.

The day began with a general presentation of the activity of the company and another one more specific in which the attendant were explained some of their robotic and R & D + i developments. In relation to robotics, it was explained that Ensa has robotic applications that allow them to make welding simulations that make them more precise, reliable and of higher quality. On the other hand, its investment in R & D + i, its commitment to Industry 4.0 and its technological GAP helps to improve its productivity, reliability and ensures compliance with delivery times so that it puts the company in an advantageous position compared to other competitors within the sector.

The group made a visit to the laboratories that are part of the Advanced Technology Center (CTA) to see these developments first hand and the workshop to see some of the products they are currently working on.

The course “Robotics applied to the nuclear sector”, aims to publicize the general concepts of robotics, as well as other more specific of the nuclear industry as its application in tasks of inspection, decontamination, operation or dismantling.
